⭐️Top Shelf Pour

Visit Riffraff on Friday night for this PVD staple - the monthly open mic night put on in partnership with LitArtsRI. Get there early enough to throw your name in ring for a chance at 5 minutes in front of a captivated, literary audience to sing, play, or poet your heart out. Even if you don’t make the cut, I encourage you to stay to enjoy a delicious drink, browse the bookshelves, & support your fellow performers while they’re on the mic!

🏠️ Brew-It at Home

This is not a class, it's a community! This virtual cohort is a cross between a retreat and an MFA in which poets of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome. Aside from enjoying her informative and inspiring content on Instagram, I deeply appreciate that Ariana's teaching focuses on uplifting writers of color & LGBTQIA+ poets. While the first workshop happens tomorrow, registration doesn’t close till September 9th so there’s still time to participate. With a monthly payment plan and a 1:1 consultation add-on available, I highly recommend joining while you still can if you’ve got the budget!

🗳️ Spill the Tea
With the event calendar live and the poetry book club already in the works, I’m extra curious…
What type of in-person poetry gathering would you most like to attend?Your feedback in these polls directly shape what I spend my time and energy on, so don't be shy about sharing what would actually get you out of the house and in community! |

📤️ Pour Your Heart Out

Anomaly Poetry’s winter anthology, Tidings, is now open for submissions! Themes of tradition, cycles of life, the need for human connection, & cozy holiday memories will fill it’s pages. Sound like something you like to write about? Submit up to 2 poems via email as soon as you can—don’t wait till the deadline to share your work!
