⭐Top Shelf Pour

🏠 Brew-It at Home

During this challenge, writers will be encouraged to write, read, and engage daily and share updates within an online community. The rules? Write something new every day. Read 4 pages of a craft writing book. Share work for others to enjoy. Engage with fellow writers in the Audacious Writers Circle. It starts 9/1 & is $10/month to join. Because when you invest in something, even a small amount, you’re more likely to show up, stay consistent, and finish strong.

🗳 Spill the Tea
I’m still trying to finalize the TBR list for the Poetry Book Club before I follow-up & propose the first 3 reading selections to Lucas at Riffraff next week.
Some titles I’m considering:
Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude by Ross Gay
Lighthead by Terrence Hayes
Depression & Other Magic Tricks by Sabrina Benaim

📤 Pour Your Heart Out

🏘 Pour-trait of a Neighbor
Meet Cas & Spocka of Public Shop & Gallery
After receiving the special 6th anniversary edition of their newsletter, I knew I had to make space this week to give credit where credit is due: to the incredibly creative & wholly hospitable, Cas & Spocka. While I’ve mentioned their shop & gallery before (in my very first post actually!), it’s time I introduce you to the people behind Public, who’ve been hosting art exhibitions, community programming, and special events in PVD since 2019! I first met the founder couple back in May of 2024 when my sister’s artwork & my poem hung together on opening night of an art show at their old Sims Ave location. Since moving to Olneyville, I've visited them a handful of times, most recently for Art Lounge, where it costs you nothing to just show up & hang in their comfy, creative space. Cas & Spocka have been nothing but sweet & welcoming to me so it’s only right I repay the favor & ask you a favor on their behalf: if you’ve got room in the budget, click the link below to ensure they get the support they deserve—before it becomes urgent!
